Black Sabbath post images on social media officially bringing the curtain down on their 49-year career.

Black Sabbath have officially announced The End.

The band posted two images on their Facebook page – one with an image reading “Black Sabbath 1968-2017” and another showing Geezer Butler, Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi on stage early in their career.

Wintersun have smashed the first part of their crowdfunding target in support of their new album The Forest Seasons.

They were looking to raise €150,000 over the course of this month in pre-orders for the record – the first step of a planned three-tiered project, which would ultimately see Wintersun reach a grand total of €750,000 which would in turn lead to the construction of their own professional studio.

HIM frontman Ville Valo says that after 26 years, band has “run its unnatural course” – and announces farewell tour dates.

Finnish outfit HIM have confirmed they are to split up at the end of 2017.

The news was announced on the band’s Facebook page, where frontman Ville Valo said it was time to close the chapter on their 26-year career.

Music nowadays has gotten so complex that sometimes it barely resembles what it was when the genre began; Black Metal is no exception to this rule. Today’s band is here to cut through the bullshit and remind us how it all began. In true Norwegian Black Metal style I can’t really tell you much about the duo GJENDǾD, they burst onto the scene in 2016 with a self – titled demo which critics loved. This release “Nedstingning” is their debut full length album.
